Last night, a group of 12 or so season ticket holders in premium seats including myself met with Sims. He is a real person.
And for the intern reading, he's very long winded.
Can you share anything discussed?

Good. About the meeting that is. Not the long windedness. I've been waiting to hear that he started to hold meets like this.
I think the best value in these meetings though is when Patricof/Sims asks questions and let's the fans talk. It should be a listening tour, not speaking. I get that fans want to ask questions which can lead to long responses but it's not the ideal format.
That's all you got? Don't even pretend the stadium topic didn't come up.

Despite saying he's on a listening tour, he didn't ask anyone a single question, at least not in the longer sit down.
Every time this thread comes up, I chuckle as I misread it that he’s leaving and not leading.SMH.
Despite saying he's on a listening tour, he didn't ask anyone a single question, at least not in the longer sit down. And for person one on one's it was more people asking him questions.
So the outcome of his yearlong listening tour is an understanding of the club that could have come from skimming Wikipedia in 2013. Cool.
Nowhere in the article does it say, listens to your fans, or consumers, or customers, or the people that actually keep the team alive.
You know that advertising is directed to the “we”. Without the fans, advertising doesn’t have an audience and the valuation paid for it drops.Would like to know how much of the revenue we actually contribute versus SUM and advertising
This is a massive hiring...

There's some promise that we are about to see NYCFC 2.0 as we move towards a new stadium in NYC.This is a massive hiring...
Or you can take the pessimistic view which many will take which is 'they're gearing up for a triple stadium problem and he's here to help sort it out to ease the STHs'.There's some promise that we are about to see NYCFC 2.0 as we move towards a new stadium in NYC.
I was thinking the same thing. Could be that they are going to do a dual thing? Or the club wasn't happy with Sims and we might see his exit soon?It sounds like his skill set and that of Sims overlap almost completely, which then makes you wonder what Sims is still doing here.
