Despite saying he's on a listening tour, he didn't ask anyone a single question, at least not in the longer sit down. And for person one on one's it was more people asking him questions.
Nothing materially new was discussed. As for the stadium, I don't feel anymore optimistic. I thought an announcement would come by March 2019. I've reset my window to 6-18 months, which isn't saying much.
Well they did say all discussions are confidential on the email. But I can talk about my feelings!

Did he discuss the direction of the club over the past 4 years? It’s been a downward trajectory. The stadium is only part of that trajectory.

Every time this thread comes up, I chuckle as I misread it that he’s leaving and not leading.

So the outcome of his yearlong listening tour is an understanding of the club that could have come from skimming Wikipedia in 2013. Cool.

You know that advertising is directed to the “we”. Without the fans, advertising doesn’t have an audience and the valuation paid for it drops.

Yes, he's extremely well respected in the sports industry and has done an incredible job with the NBA over the last 4-5 seasons.
There's some promise that we are about to see NYCFC 2.0 as we move towards a new stadium in NYC.
Or you can take the pessimistic view which many will take which is 'they're gearing up for a triple stadium problem and he's here to help sort it out to ease the STHs'.

It sounds like his skill set and that of Sims overlap almost completely, which then makes you wonder what Sims is still doing here.
I was thinking the same thing. Could be that they are going to do a dual thing? Or the club wasn't happy with Sims and we might see his exit soon?
