A lot of you guys are a lot more optimistic than me. This was a home game and we dropped points. That's a disappointment. Fuck the US game turned me bitter didn't it.
I was in 109 too, and even 12 rows up the view was too flat.
I was right behind you. The guy near me with his kid was watching your phone and informing our section about the real-time score because the scoreboard was delayed.I should have taken more pictures but I was watching the TOR-ATL game. Views...with JJ Abrams lens flare.

Five thirty eight has us in third in odds for winning the cup behind Seattle and Toronto. We’re slightly ahead of Atlanta. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/I'd say we're fifty /fifty with Columbus again or Chicago. Probably slight underdogs if we get Atlanta and forget it when/if we come up against Toronto.
That's a great photo of Rox, and I agree he knows how to be happy, but I'm not sure that photo shows it.https://www.instagram.com/p/Bakwi_mlrit/?tagged=andreapirlo WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FANFUCKINGTASTIC PICTURE Of our roxfontaine on Fan Appreciation Day !! This is the Crazy Ass Rock Star i talked about when we met in East Hartford !! God Bless this man at least he knows how to be happy !!!

The food options looked outdtanding in the outfield, but meh behind our section, and the lines were long, and they ran out of things. Also couldn’t find a place to get a good quality brew on tap. Architecture of Citi Field is better, but both have their weaknesses.
I was in 109, Row 12 as well. Agree the view was flat, and I couldn’t see the near corner - pretty much anything outside the penalty area was blocked. Found myself watching the big screen wat too much. Didn’t like these seats, although I think there are better ones to be had.

Yeah, the food court by 139 had blue smoke, shake shack, a beer bar, cocktail bar...much better. Although I agree with you that the beer selection was lacking. This will change soon when Mikkeler finishes building out their brewpub at Citi Field. (Maybe early next year?)
Overall to me a better experience. I'm ready to build the stadium at Willets. Get it done.
I heard "smart phone screen wipe".Does anybody know what is the purpose of the piece of fabric they gave away? I’m not yet even suggesting it is useless because I cannot yet determine what its intended use is. Too small to wave.
Although I am still stoked about the idea of playing more games at Citifield, forgot to mention the fact that the first goal probably wouldn't have happened without Maxi slipping on the infield :/Mostly gushing about the stadium experience, but as far as the game goes, there were promising signs. Jack was more decisive. Villa is back and ready to carry the team on his shoulders. We seemed to click a little better.
On the flip side, Brillant had his weakest game for us since he started holding down a starting spot. For the first goal he gets drawn in under the flight of the ball inexplicably. And even though Johnson could have been more imposing for the second, Brillant rather meekly allowed himself to be used as a step ladder for our old friend Roidy Josh.
Wallace is such a defensive asset, but it kills me that that is the reason why he is holding down an offensive spot. I'm not really sure why it's so hard for somebody like Lewis to learn how to press as effectively, and I can't help but think he'd be more dangerous in open play. Wallace is a winger who doesn't want to be in the open field. It's utterly bizarre to me.
Nothing else needs to be said about Khiry.
All in all, I'm not ready to write us off yet. We had 23 shots. I think there's still a chance that we catch fire.

Did he slip or was he pushed? The Ref let that one go and the moment he did I was worried about the counter with too few defenders and too much green in between.Although I am still stoked about the idea of playing more games at Citifield, forgot to mention the fact that the first goal probably wouldn't have happened without Maxi slipping on the infield :/
:tearsofjoy:He’s way too dumb on the field to put him in the middle. And it’s not like he makes up for it with moments of technical brilliance.
He’s a shitty player. And Chris M has a shitty opinion if he actually believes that.
It sounded phenomenal, but the visual was kind of weird, not seeing any fans along the lines (at least in Yankee Stadium you have pitchside)Was down front in the same section -- I was disappointed with the seats. It was cool seeing one game from a different angle, but being blocked from the view of the corner, the weird angle facing the field, and planes constantly taking off overhead all just made it a weird game.
It was really hard with kids though. The restrooms, concessions, and overall congestion were pretty tough to deal with when having two little ones at the game. One of the things I love about YS is how easy it is with a family.
Overall though -- congrats fans, we brought it that game and gave it a great atmosphere.
