Speaking of the east…everybody won today and Philly is straight up embarrassing teams. Not good for a slumping NYCFC.
it is good that we don't have to play them again until possibly the playoffs, when we've, hopefully, got our act together.
philly are playing like a team with a consistent style of play, a familiar roster, and cohesive team attitude. they are the team to beat in the east. even moreso than 2021's Revs who would get their wins by 1 goal. philly are absolutely pounding teams these days.
Or Philly could go out to Toronto or RBNJ in their first game. Playoffs can be weird.
no doubt. they are playing well right now. but playoffs are an entirely different beast. 2019 LAFC dominated everyone in the same manner and were eliminated.
definitely not saying they are sure winners of MLS cup... no one ever is.

Austin lost to portland in what i think was a must-win game for them in the fight for first in the west. Had they won yesterday, they would have been only 3 points from LAFC!

I just double checked and decision day is October 9. Playoffs start Oct. 15 with 2nd round on oct 20 and 23. So, at worst, they have a 2 week break.
won't stop any complaining if they lose
i know. i just want to play them with our decimated squad at their home and we win on PKs or a smash and grab stoppage time winner from CHRIS GLOSTER lol.
I want them to have a covid outbreak right before the playoffs again for the memes
