To: New York City FC Season Ticket Holders; the City of New York
Re: Frank Lampard to stay with Manchester City until June
In July 2014, City Football Group made a commitment to the City of New York and Major League Soccer. That commitment remains unchanged. CFG continues to be focused on bringing a world class product to the people of New York and contributing to the growth of Major League Soccer.
As you know, New York City FC exists as part of a larger family of clubs, one that’s committed to growing the game as well as City’s presence in it. Unfortunately, that relationship has forced us to make a small change in plans for NYCFC’s debut. We felt it was vital to reach out to our season ticket holders before that change became public to explain the group’s decision.
Premier League legend Frank Lampard has been central to our plans to field a competitive team in New York from our opening kickoff, but over the course of the last four months, Frank has also become a valuable part of our team in Manchester, were we hope to retain the Barclays Premier League title. Because of circumstances with our Premier League club, we have asked Frank to remain in Manchester throughout the remainder of the Premier League season. As of now, he will not join New York City FC until June.
Along with Frank, we make this choice with full knowledge of the disappointment it will cause. To be clear, it was always our intention to keep Frank’s stint with Manchester City short; however, as circumstances changed, we were forced to consider our commitment to our fans in England as well as those in New York. After discussing the situation with Frank, we are confident this is at the best course of action. We are also confident this open line of communication can give fans valuable insight into what has been a very difficult decision.
Our course of action does not end with this decision. We are conscious of our commitment to New York and know that Frank Lampard’s unveiling made a promise. Over the next few months, our staff will continue to work to find another Designated Player who will be with the team when we open the season in March. Only now, we will do so knowing that fans, future fans, and Major League Soccer deserve an indication of our commitment.
Internally, we know that commitment has never wavered. We also know that the tough decision to allow Frank another chance at a Premier League title sends a conflicted message. We hope you give us time to set things right and to show that NYCFC is the club New York City deserves.
Thank you for your support,

Aside form this I would add it is clear that the Fans of NYC will no longer welcome Frank Lampard and we will do everything in our power to replace him with a high caliber star that will help win this and every year.
Maybe but it is the least that the NEED to say. They are going to need to do a lot of work cause this is a colossal fuck up.You know I hate when websites put together these mock letters. There is always someone stupid enough to believe it's real.

Ok then Nicholas please explain your take on this. And the extension of a loan is extremely common.
Dude lets see what develops from the club before going off the deep end like that. While those reports "we never had him" sting and hurt, on the official website -> http://www.nycfc.com/players/frank-lampard it still proclaims "Acquired: Signed on a free transfer to New York City FC on July 24, 2014". If this was really just a fraudulent lie to lure in people for season tickets, we should flood the Better Business Bureau with complaints about this! -> https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started
i should got some credits, bruh...my letter to the FO
To whom it may concern,
When this club was announced, I couldn't have been happier. Finally, a chance to watch world class soccer in my city. I jumped at the chance to buy season tickets (two to be exact) to watch the inaugural season in Yankee Stadium. I am writing to you today to voice my displeasure at the promise of transparency to MCFC and the Frank Lampard situation.
Now, admittedly, I didn't buy season tickets for NYCFC SOLELY for Frank Lampard, I bought it on the notion (one that has been said numerous times from management and executives) that NYCFC was an independent club, a team who wasn't a marketing gimmick or a placeholder to spread the CFG brand. This is NOT the case. The jersey release was one thing, maybe it was foreshadowing to the bigger picture, a way for the club to subtly show what we truly were/are, a feeder club. The way this Frank Lampard situation was conducted was totally backwards and ridiculous. Selling season tickets on the idea that Frank would be in Yankee Stadium on March 15th ready to go for the first ever home game, only to have the rug pulled from under us because “big brother” MCFC needs him more…what a joke.
When I signed on to support this club, I thought it would be different from RBNY. However, in the past 5 months, I have been disappointed and misled more than I EVER have with any team. The trust and relationship between club and the fans is GONE. It has been made perfectly clear to the entire league that we are a pawn in CFG’s game, with MCFC being the king.
My enthusiasm for the club is now tempered and my belief and support of the “transparency” of the management and executives including CFG, NYCFC, MCFC etc. is now shattered. Think about the fans here for one second (which is apparently one more second than anyone at CFG or MCFC did)…NYCFC has become the laughingstock of the league. People have been saying we were a feeder club to MCFC from the start, and this Lampard situation proves exactly that. Opposing fans will be RUTHLESS towards ANY and ALL fans of this club especially the Third Rail, whose unwavering support is extremely important for the club on the field. The amount of ammo MCFC and CFG provided to opposing fans is something I never though could happen in a million years. Even when the Lampard speculation began I didn't think ONCE that he wouldn't be here for game one….the skeptics were proved right. We were lied to. Ferran Soriano told fans (myself included) at Legends in NYC that NYCFC was not a branding experiment and that the club would NOT play second fiddle to MCFC, and yet here we are.
That’s it.

PS. Please fire whoever runs the @NYCFC twitter, posting Lampard stats and stuff right after it was announced that he wouldn't be here is not only ignorant but putting salt in the wounds of all NYCFC fans and season ticket holders.
i forgot to include the sources. The way you said it was just so beautiful. Its in the bibliographyi should got some credits, bruh...

Total embarrassment.Washington Post is reporting that NYCFC purchased Lampard's MLS rights from LA Galaxy. Wow. Just wow.
My word that was a very long read. Hate, vitriol, resignations, resentment, explanations and everything.
I get it though.
However
I said this on June 22nd here on this forum.
"I have said this I don't know how many times: NYCFC is its own club in its own right, but MCFC will pop on over should NYCFC find an exceptional talent. Other than that, it ain't but a thing."
And this on April 18th.
"I am sorry (and you will hate this), but the foreseeable future NYCFC is nothing but City's whore - it sounds terrible, but that is what it is. NYCFC will grow and become its own entity, but for the next few years it will be the former."
You understand now?
It doesn't make it any easier for you guys, but I did warn you.
As in used precious allocation money that is tied to the salary cap? Say it ain't so.Washington Post is reporting that NYCFC purchased Lampard's MLS rights from LA Galaxy. Wow. Just wow.
