My favorite Francesa story goes back to probably the late 80s, before he was quite the personality that he is now. A family friend knew Francesa from high school or something. He asked Mike if he could get some sports autographs for his kids. Francesa said no problem, and then gave him an autographed Mike Francesa picture. So, the lack of self-awareness pre-dated the national fame.
