I just got an email from DirecTV notifying me that NFL SUnday Ticket Max will be free in 2020, for all customers. New ones, old ones, whatever.
They don't give any reason, ike giving back because of the virus. It's just hey, this thing we used to raise the price by an ungodly amount every year? Now it's free. For a year, at least.
I'm very curious to learn what's driving it. Is DirecTV eating the cost to keep customers? They're even giving away the Max version, so they're not even going to a freemium model.
