Nycfc Sign Diego Martinez

With our signings so far this season I really can't see any reason in keeping Wingert and Brandt, other than they are under contract.

It's just a pity we can't pay players out and free up cap space.

Actually wouldnt mind keeping brandt. For his salary why not? Can play left back or left mid. But wingerts salary vs his probable contribution this season might not make sense. Would like to see his salary go to another centerback or cdm.

It's just that the three signings all play down the left hand side. If he isn't going to get anywhere near the team then I can't see what is the point of keeping the lad. I suppose if we have an affiliate team this year then we can loan him out to them.

I'm sure there's a creative way to trade wingert and cash to someone in exchange for some TAM.

Too bad Jason isn't somewhere we could trade him back all his mistakes we're stuck with.

As much stick as I give to Wingert, he'd make a great coach. I hope he can retire and join the coaching staff on the same salary.
Retirement is a legitimate way to clear a roster spot.....

Bet the redbull FO would be willing to hire him for cheap
Nah... as much as I hate RB, that org can get pumped for the derby - that alone would keep them from hiring Kreis. The guy was catatonic in each of the derbies.

If RB hired him, they'd probably win MLS Cup.... They have a squad that is playing like a real team, perfect style for Kreis.
Anyone think this guy can give us some solid starts? Or is that wishful thinking on my part?

Maybe you're right, but why do you think that? He didn't seem to be a leader and he certainly didn't exhibit strong awareness.

I think he'll make a great insurance salesman out in Long Island. Give him the group health plan to get him started. Pull the plug on his soccer career and tag him with a DNR.
