RBNY Postgame

Something mentioned to me which I didn't think of.

The bright side is CFG will be laughed at tomorrow in the press in the UK. Ferran Soriano and CFG can't hide from this. It's an embarrassment for them and they're likely not going to just accept it.

Between coaching decisions, the PA announcing "Super Frank" and this quote.........well it's safe to say the total lack of self awareness out there today was mind numbing.

Pfft. I don't understand how someone with that much money can't afford better PR people. Injury is not the problem. Bad optics is the problem.

Fuck, I'd probably do it for free at this point.

Frank Lampard booed by own fans as New York City FC lose 7-0

Can just one person associated with this club say something honest about Lampard, and acknowledge that he was booed because he proved he didn't want to be here 18 months ago?!?! Fuck you PV.

What a tool.
He thinks he is being booed for being injured? Well, isn't that a swell stroke of victimization. I hope his ass never touches a pitch without being booed by "all the lads". Dumb fuck he is.

This this this. They're going to have to make shrewd deals so we can offload Fat Frank and get a gamechanger. Speaking of Fat Frank, LOL just LOL.

I hope someone points out the fact they are trying to run a damn dictatorship in the stands as well. It's insane.

Umm, Midas prescience strikes again.

Shit, folks. It ain't hard. A leopard doesn't change his spots.

Unless the event gets cancelled due to today's result, some of us do have that chance at the Queens installment of City In The Boroughs this coming Wednesday night. I will be there. Hoo boy, I expect a scene.

I'll be there too, and I'm considering what angles to approach.

Here's probably the biggest long-term concern from this game:

The young players on NYCFC (Namely, Matarrita, Lopez, Shelton, McNamara) all completely s--- their pants today. The game was too big for them. Hopefully that's just an experience they all need, otherwise how can we trust this group to not s--- their pants during the big games we have to play later in the season?

I've learned never to question the effort and compete level of professional athletes. These guys care, you know they do. So in a loss like this, you have to ask why it looks like they didn't care. What happened out there that caused this team to capitulate so easily.
