Didn't Dome bring in a bunch of people from Barcelona? Or was that just the strength and conditioning team?
He’s the Company insider charged with watching RD to make sure he adheres to the policies of the motherland, err, CFG......Could be interesting what the end game here is with this hiring though. Seeing as if Ronny were to leave or get sacked Cushing would be staying because he’s not essentially part of the team RD brought with him like PV and Dome.
I sometimes think I’m the only person here who remembers how crap and generally unmotivated Villa seemed in the inaugural season. Never tracked back and was low energy.Maybe pirlo and lampard, but I don't think Villa signed purely for money reasons. I think he wanted to be part of a new team, and he had ambitions elsewhere too (a la QBFC and his academy stuff.)
That alone attributes to him finding NYC an attractive destination - I can see others too thinking that in the future.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. I also think if RD screws up and gets sacked, Cushing could be taking over. It’s almost like they’re grooming him for an NYCFC takeover just in case. Plus he’s the company man like you said. He’s gonna follow the CFG philosophy. He’s the Company insider charged with watching RD to make sure he adheres to the policies of the motherland, err, CFG......
Just like the “Politikal Officer” that happened to be KGB.....That’s exactly what I was thinking. I also think if RD screws up and gets sacked, Cushing could be taking over. this is his reward for being successful with the City Women.
You’re not wrong. But how motivated could the guy be taking tactics from Kreis and having grabavoy passing him the ball. That scene of Kreis before the Orlando match telling the team to be a dick put a look on Villa face of “what the Fck did I agree to?”I sometimes think I’m the only person here who remembers how crap and generally unmotivated Villa seemed in the inaugural season. Not sure why or how, but the switch flipped in season 2 (maybe Vieira) and he ascended to godhood.
I challenge you to produce evidence that this ever actually happened. And I expect we will see an actual Sasquatch, a Yeti, and a fully constructed stadium before you can do so.grabavoy passing him the ball.

There were times when Villa was so pissed at his service he dropped to the top of the box to pick up the ball. That’s all I got.Impossible. Ned only passed backwards.
The ol' give'n'go.I do believe it was Ned that assisted on his first goal with the Club and the first goal in Yankee Stadium.
New York City FC Promotes Mehdi Ballouchy to Assistant Coach | New York City FC
New York City FC today announced that Mehdi Ballouchy has been promoted from the Academy to an Assistant Coach on Ronny Deila’s staff. The former NYCFC midfielder joined the Academy staff in 2017 and was most recently the Head Coach of the U-15s. During his time at NYCFC, he’s alsowww.nycfc.com
I am kind of confused by this coaching staff they're putting together. It's starting to seem slapdash, like they're frantically appointing coaches because of how late the coach was hired, but why isn't Deila bringing along people he wants? Why is this coaching staff being chosen for him? I hope they all work well together because this is a strange coaching staff they're putting together.
