Superdraft 2015 Mega-thread

The draft is also part of the biggest US soccer conference. All the important soccer people are there. Youth coaches, mls people and even leaders of supporters group. The actual draft is also a platform for supporters groups to show force.

The first two rounds take place on the 15th in Philly. The 3rd and 4th take place via the always fan-friendly teleconference several days later. Teams may pass during the secondary part of the draft. Last year only LAG passed in round 4.
Oh boy, I love the top-secret and not at all suspicious fan friendly teleconferences!

Are there any stand out players you want to see? Where the players from? US Soccer Development Academies?
Well since every good player has decided to go to Europe or stay in school, I am not getting my hopes up at this point. There is only 1 consensus #1 and Orlando is going to take him. Top prospect forward out of UCLA said he was staying in school today.

Great read here - Big Board ranking the top talent

I am going to say we pick CB Ramon Martin Del Campo. US U-23 CB. Kreis and Reyna have stated that they want to develop USMNT players. This would be a good place to start. Has signed a Senior MLS contract.

That article makes it seem like the draft is a waste of time since the best prospects don't even want to be drafted, though like mentioned in comments it may have to do more with CBA but still how many players that have been drafted (say past two drafts) are atill part of an MLS roster now? Percentage wise ? Anyone know?

If Conor Donovan signs he may be worth a shot? U-20 defender just named to the CONCACAF championship roster. Would almost certainly be one for the future though, and I'd imagine we're looking for more immediate impact in the first round

GA contracts are going to be pretty rare this year. MLS is offering some crap deals this season. I read Roldan might turn it down and staying in school. Larin already signed but could be headed to OC or Toronto via trade.
