Superdraft 2015 Mega-thread

With the signing of Mix and the possible signing of Javier Calle does that change who we take? I know most analysts have us taking Roldan, but our midfield is deep and I think taking a CB would be a better decision.

I actually hope we still draft Roldan and let him develop and learn. I don't want to be like the Yankees and disregard the notion of developing young talent.

However I really am getting the idea that we're trading this pick. I'd rather they stay and draft but oh well. #InKreisITrust

Jason said yesterday that they are listening to trade offers.

But I don't wnat more draft picks. I'm on the @Midas Mulligan bandwagon here - the draft picks are becoming less and less relevant.

Trade out for more allocation money for all I care. Jonathan Tannanwald said the Philly Union were looking to trade into the top of the 1st round.

I like YOUNG talent. I don't think 22 year olds with limited upside is the best way to spend development resources. That said, if you get a GA player who you don't have to count against the cap, you do it.

Dom is kind of old. Maybe we can trick him into giving us Tom Thom so he can draft someone capable of completing a pass in the midfield.

Good post @Midas Mulligan

I think most agree that the GA guys right now are solid pieces. They don't count against your cap. There are capable players in this draft.

But if you can turn a Cristian Roldan pick into $400,000 of allocation money that allows you to pay down large salaries, you need to consider it.

Yes. That's what I meant.

I would like Leo Stolz, but only if all the questions of him going to Europe etc were ironed out. I think Roldan is too perfect to pass up on for us.
