Where's The Copa Presale???

My advice with this, dont buy. These organizers give 2 f's about real soccer fans. The system is setup for stubhub and other folks trying to make money.

It makes no se se to buy passes and not game tickets and much less when you have little info on the matchups. I hope this doesnt blow up in their face and have lots of empty seating.

Such idiots!!
Explain how a system that forces you to buy at least one relatively undesirable game is set up for stubhub and other folks trying to make money?

Isn't this pretty standard operating procedure for a tournament like this? Sell venue or team passes and then sell individual tickets if they are left?

Where did you see this?

Univision will carry the Spanish language broadcasts of the tournament.

This is actually my biggest concern. If I knew for a fact I could sell the tickets I don't plan I using I'd have bought more expensive seats. The fact that I have access to tickets but very little info means I'm buying the top deck corner seats and if I have to end up eating the cost of them I'll just cry a lot.

is this the only way obtain tickets? ( outside of third party vendors of course) pretty sneaky if you ask me.
I believe it will be the only way to get tickets for sale directly. That being said, IF I am lucky enough to get picked and the prices are too high for me, I'd be willing to give my place to someone here on the forums if they want to pony up the cash...... Is that's even possible...

The problem with this tickets sales system is that if you are a fan of one of the countries outside of USA/Mexico/Brazil/Argentina,and want to watch your team play, you will have to wait till the draw to buy tickets and by then tickets could be sold out.

Also i want to get tickets to the USA game in Philly, but I'm not buying a venue pass for 2 games i won't watch. So i have to hope tickets appear on Stub Hub or they sell individual tickets once the draw is completed.

The other problem is that you can't select different seats for different games at the same venue. Ill purchase the NYC venue pass as I want to watch the Qtr's and will take the hit on the other game. But i would prefer to buy the cheapest ticket for the round game and get better seats for the qtr final match.

Also the final tickets are going to be pretty pricey !!

So i got 2 tickets for myself and brother to the MetLife Stadium games

Section 225A for $400 which works out $100 a game which is pretty good.

I can get the Philly venue pass for $150 so i might just bite the bullet to guarantee seats to the USA game.

Anyone know when the lottery for the final might be held ?

It would cost me over $500 (for the cheapest seats in the upper deck) to take my two sons to the matches in Orlando because of the venue pass.

And because the matches are spread out over a week hotel costs would rack up pretty good.

I know, wahhhhhhhhhh, but I think the venue pass system blows. Their holding a great tournament in a country where the vast majority of sports fans don't give a sh*t about soccer. Why give people reasons NOT to go watch this tournament?

Because otherwise they would sell maybe 10% of the seats to matchups like Panama v. Bolivia. The fact that so many people are complaining about having to buy those theoretical matchups and not just go to the big games pretty much proves they are right.

Execs need to make their money

Execs need to make their money

Yes they do. Especially when they are putting on a completely fabricated event that exists purely to make money.

This is how every major tournament in just about every sport sells tickets. If they didn't do it this way not only would some of the games be empty (as others have mentioned) but the good games would be even harder to get as scalpers would snap them up immediately without having to worry about getting rid of the low-quality seats.

The cheapest seat in the house for NY is $65 per game for two games. If they had just put the Quarterfinal up and the cheapest seat were $130 and it came with a free ticket to the group game, would that make everyone feel better? $130 for a potential USA/Brazil major tournament matchup isn't bad.

The Chicago venue pass cheapest seat is $60 per game for four games. That's $60 for semi-final, a USA game, an Argentina game and a crap group game. Again, $240 for the first two of those game would have been fair, so you're getting an Argentina game and a group game for free.

The more I look at it, the more it seems these guys have actually left some money on the table with these prices, but I think filling the stadiums may be higher on the priority list than maxing total revenue for the people putting this on.

See but I'm not complaining about buying theoretical match ups. I never even mentioned a side I wanted to watch. I'm complaining because I'm more than willing to drive 3 hours from Miami to Orlando to watch a soccer match with my kids but I'm not willing to spend a week in Orlando (and $2,000 on tickets, hotel and food) to watch 3 matches.

Just as I thought AO offering single match tickets :). Now I just need to buy one for Philly and I'm set. image.png

I saw on stubhub that tickets are listed for the copa, It showed venue passes for met life, and the two games to be played there listed individually as well.

I am going to need to dump 2 tix in all likelihood. I bought four 200 level midfield, row 3. Total cost after fees of over $2k. They are on the aisle. I am open to negotiations since I don't think I have 4 people. Someone wants two awesome seats, I'll sell for face and fees and an interest in the resale of your tickets.
