Did we ever linked to Yangel Herrera? We need a real CDM (not Ring), I dont mind with age.
Not NYCFC directly. The offer that's been verified by the club's president has come from CFG. Generally CFG handles player moves for NYCFC & Melbourne, not Man City.
So the belief would be that he would be shipped out to one of those two, or loaned out somewhere for Man City.
That's a bummer. He would've been such a good prospect and fit for us, but losing out to Stuttgart is nothing to hang our heads on.
Let's see what the FO does next going forward.
He's a defensive midfielder. Just what we need. Only problem is our rivals sent him an offer as well.
I mean that's cool for depth. But unless he's Angelino x2 then it's not anything huge.
No way would energy drink bring in an expensive DM after they just dumped Dax for the young guy. That sounds like an agent trying top drive up a price with us.
19 years old with already a senior cap for Venezuela. I'd say it's likely he's better than Angelino

But it states he would be a loan. We will end up developing him for a year or two then have Man City reap the rewards
We're not a top club in the world, nor a top league. You can't expect good young players to want to make a career here. At least not in the next 20 years as the MLS develops some more. Let's be happy if we can poach them when they're young and get some productivity out of them when they have their most energy and are at their fastest. Take what we can get.

MLS 2017 Roster Rules have not been announced. The current policy is 160 spots dividend among the 20 teams. This will obviously be expanded to to accommodate MNUTD and ATLUTD. However, is there any thought that each team will be given an additional international roster spot or two from the 8 that are allotted as of last year?
