You may not like Ben Sweat, but he has considerably out performed his contract. He's a $150k player. So is Ibeagha.

Ben sweat as your backup/Open Cup LB - cool
Ben Sweat as your starting LB:
You are going need a full offseason before you see true inverted fullbacks. He and Mata have shown glimmers of hope at certain points.Sweat has gotten considerably worse under Dome, but so has everyone, so...
Has he? I actually think he's been a bit better (outside of the game in Minnesota of course)Sweat has gotten considerably worse under Dome, but so has everyone, so...
NYCFC loanees Andre Rawls and Saad Abdul-Salaam are both in the 2018 USL Cup Playoffs.
Andre's Orange County SC is the number 1 seed in the Western Conference and faces St. Louis FC on 10/20.
Saad's Phoenix Rising FC is the number 3 seed in the Western Conference and faces Timbers 2 on 10/19.
Any idea on how SAS is doing for Phoenix though? Is he getting games and affecting play, or just sitting a lot or looking disinterested?Andre's Orange Country SC defeated St. Louis FC 4-0 and will face Reno 1868 FC on 10/27.
Saad's Phoenix Rising FC defeated Timbers 2 3-0 and will face Swope Park Rangers on 10/26.
Should both teams wins, they'd face off in the Western Conference Finals.
Following up on my post, this is what I got:Any idea on how SAS is doing for Phoenix though? Is he getting games and affecting play, or just sitting a lot or looking disinterested?

What the hell was the FO doing giving Amagat a quarter of a mil after rotting on the bench last year and having no resume that would merit that sort of money????https://mlsplayers.org/resources/salary-guide

Seriously???? $260,000 for Amagat??? I mean really???
It's basically "build a team around" him, Chris Wingert style money.* This team is going backwards.Amagat to be kidding me.
What about all the rest of the palyers on the team? Does that mean they didn't get any raise at all? (Medina, Ibeagha, etc.)
I would take Sweat over a $100K Mata. He’s giving amazing return and value on his contract. Also, Matarrita's shoots up quite a bit.
I will say (and I think this first part is known here on the board), I prefer Matarrita to Sweat. But I would definitely prefer Sweat at 68k to Mata at 395k (or even at 200k).
