2018 Roster Discussion

I knew you were being sarcastic but was tickled by the idea of you inadvertently coming up with a good idea.
IMO, It wasn’t a good idea for a variety of reasons.

Nevertheless, I’m kind of offended by the rest of the sentiment. I’d love to dig into why you think that’s tickle worthy given my entrepreneurial experiences, but I presume you have a more innocuous explanation given that you have no knowledge of that background.

I really wasn't thinking about it that deeply. Seems like someone like dummyrun might reach a different audience, and that the discussions we have here might benefit from being augmented by more varied perspectives.

I wasn't really taking your entrepreneurial acumen into account, I just got a mild kick out of gently undermining your aggression.

Interested in why you don't think it's a good idea or why you think it's a bad one.

Also your LinkedIn profile is public lol.

I'm really looking forward to Ofori. Definitely a profile the squad doesn't have right now.
Yeah if this happens it will be interesting. Our midfield engine right now is high work rate, short passing and afraid to shoot. Ofori on the other hand hasn't made a single tackle in any highlight reel I've seen, shoots on sight and carries the ball. The way he comes deep to collect the ball, draw players in and distribute is actually reminiscent of Pirlo.

In short, it's difficult to see what Vieira would like in him. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to convert him into a winger.

I love it. I bet he was asked that by one of those typical, semi-racist, English press members. The same guys that say you can't win the Prem without English defenders like Phil Jagielka. The same guys that say you need to play counter attacking football like Sam Allardyce. The same guys that say you can't win on a rainy Tuesday in Stoke.

It cracks me up. Why teach tackling if you assume you will have 70% possession?

Oh, so like Bobby Warshaw saying you need American defenders too. Cut from the same cloth.

Yeah, I think Guardiola would also argue that if you had to make a tackle your positioning was wrong, too :D
