as much as i love how pigeons are kinda our nickname, piegons aren't really a NYC exclusive thing by any means.

i think the empire state building, statue of liberty, etc are more NYC. would have been nice to see lady liberty incorporated somehow.

Before you joined the forum I used to get very annoyed at the pigeon thing and say the exact thing you just wrote! Every major city has pigeons.

By itself, it’s not horrible, just a head scratcher to the random claw marks. But as a group dumped on the league, it’s like a bad rendition of the myriad of stormtroopers that have minor changes in their armor.

I'm sure it'll look better on the field but I wish they had just gone with a solid blue color on the front. The pattern ruins it for me.

I really like the colors of the authentic - but don’t like the collar, the broken brick design, or the bear claw. The best thing going for it is that it could be much worse. That all may lead to my first pass.

Yes but NYC has iconic skyscrapers that scream NYC. I like the statue of liberty.. wish they would incorporate that more.

Yeah that's kinda my point. Every city has pigeons but we are known for it. Languages and symbolic systems spread and mutate for non-rational reasons. Reason is just one of many cognitive competencies.
