It seems to me that the fan game has advanced way ahead of the curve. Even from where I sit (behind the dugout on the third baseline), last game the chants carried all the way to me, at times loudly and clearly, as compared to the first game where I couldn't hear anything. The Hey Baby chant is a little goofy, but notwithstanding that sounded great from afar, and is the kind of fun tune that encourages participation and enthusiasm, so for those reasons alone, I'm a fan. The call and response NYC chants sounded terrific, and even from a distance you could see the back and forth alternating movement that accompanied it, so I'm also a fan. I could hear a little of the chant of the starters last names during the starting lineup announcements, which I think could work as it becomes a tradition. The crowd behind the opposite goal also sounded great, namely on our corner kicks. I love the idea of that side developing some traditions as well, and they appear to be ahead of the game. For a handful of home games, the intensity and participation is impressive, and it's only going to develop and improve. Well done everyone.
