City Beats Vs Rhythm?

It seems to me that the fan game has advanced way ahead of the curve. Even from where I sit (behind the dugout on the third baseline), last game the chants carried all the way to me, at times loudly and clearly, as compared to the first game where I couldn't hear anything. The Hey Baby chant is a little goofy, but notwithstanding that sounded great from afar, and is the kind of fun tune that encourages participation and enthusiasm, so for those reasons alone, I'm a fan. The call and response NYC chants sounded terrific, and even from a distance you could see the back and forth alternating movement that accompanied it, so I'm also a fan. I could hear a little of the chant of the starters last names during the starting lineup announcements, which I think could work as it becomes a tradition. The crowd behind the opposite goal also sounded great, namely on our corner kicks. I love the idea of that side developing some traditions as well, and they appear to be ahead of the game. For a handful of home games, the intensity and participation is impressive, and it's only going to develop and improve. Well done everyone.

I love the idea of the chant for starters last names. It would be cool if we could coordinate that with the team so that when they were announcing the starting XI they'd say the players first name and we'd all chant their last name. Same for goals

I agree with all of the posts above and can confirm what @JayH said about fans behind the opposite goal (where I am in section 014A). So far the atmosphere in my area has improved every single match (it still starts slowly each match but the crowd on the 1st base side is getting into it earlier and earlier). It takes time but each match the atmosphere in my area is improving noticeably. The last game against Portland we even had some people joining in with the TR chants because we could hear them so clearly. All prior games the supporters group chants were muddled. This is what building a supporters culture is all about -- learning what works and what doesn't and getting more and more comfortable with everyone in the stadium.

Someone from the Third Rail needs to coordinate with the Front Office so that City Beats is in rhythm with the chants from the bleachers. When the Third Rail and other supporter groups are chanting and City Beats is playing something else, it all just comes out as noise.
