Also pretty pessimistic about RBNJ. Pretty much the opposite of Doyle.Kristian Dyer seems optimistic... overly optimistic?... about our squad going into this season.

“
The back four, featuring Ben Sweat, Alexander Callens, Maxime Chanot and Rónald Matarrita, can be a top defense again this year. There is a lot of reason to believe that they can improve as a unit.
Homegrown Joe Scally, signed this preseason, is a 16-year-old outside back that has shown a lot of promise. He could get some chances over the course of the year to get a run of games.”
Simple fact checks like this is what annoys me about coverage of this team. So many times an easily googled query is ignored and just assumed. This as well as Kristian’s lack of mention of Medina, calling for a signing of an additional winger, and calling for Lewis to be in the starting midfield are what make us feel like an afterthought for news sites.
If only the Athletic had hired a writer who knew the team, covered it since before it began, and was familiar with the roster.
That would be an f’in disaster.
Are you bullish on this team?
I was going to post this, but wasn't sure if it would go over well- glad you did it! heeheeeeeeeThat would be an f’in disaster.
Just to reiterate, this is a tribute band, not to be confused with...Speaking of writers who know the team, I hope you guys have all heard by now about the NYCFC Forums tribute band known as The Outfield, but if not today's post by derek_villa is a fun place to start.
Or... you know... eradicate such behaviordamn, more details about this then outlets cover the team's performance
this will pile on, FO could of just given a statement, even if it didnt end up changing anything with those members it may have looked like hey they trying.
Or... you know... eradicate such behavior
The issue from the clubs point of view is it hasn’t happened in the stands. At least not recently. The last incident I remember goes back to the inaugural season. It was discussed here when Saun King tweeted about it back in October.Or... you know... eradicate such behavior

Can you ban supporters from games who have hate group connections but haven’t committed illegal acts and aren’t causing any issues in the stadium?
It’s not a hard call to make when one of them gets arrested for inciting violence or committing battery but to ban an entire group for affiliation is a tough call for the club.
Those groups honestly could have been banned a while ago if the club took a hard stand in the inaugural season, they didn’t and now they’re in a bad spot.
