If you subtract the NOI from the Revenue, you get the expenses. I thought it was interesting to see what each team is spending in relation to each other.

So we're actually the 3rd highest spending team behind ATL & TOR. Most the league spends around $30-$40mm a year. The upper tier of $50-$60mm is LAG, LAFC, NYCFC, SEA & TOR. With ATL in a league of their own at $70mm. Makes sense when you look at the rosters are records. Lower tier teams of $20-$25mm are COL, CLB, VAN & RSL. That makes sense too based on their rosters and records. If anything this tiered spending is starting to prove the salary cap is a sham, it may be time for an open system.
NYCFC is tied with Chicago for the second highest operating net loss in the league, behind only Toronto, which indicates that ownership is committing significant out of pocket funds to the project. What brings in more money, a stadium or aging stars?
I'd assume you would finance the stadium. which would replace the rent NYCFC is currently paying. That has me thinking, since the YS rent is supposedly astronomical ($1mm a match?), and I doubt any other team in the league is paying close to that to play a match, does that mean they're really towards the middle of the pack ($30-$40mm) in spending on pure club expenditures? That would match with the Dome quotes and he does have some inside knowledge we don't.
We know so little about how these figures are calculated it's hard to draw conclusions. Does it include stadium depreciation for teams that own? If so, how is MBA split between the Falcons and United? As there is no reason for this accounting to match MLS salary cap rules, is the fee for Mitrita counted in full for 2019 or spread out over the length of his contract?
But at the same time we need the same level of skepticism directed towards those lists of team salary spending that give SKC credit for having the fifth largest salary total while only carrying 2 DPs (Russell and Gutierrez) paid only a combined $3.35 million.

We have no idea how much we pay for scouting, for example.
On the flip side, we also don't know what absurd price Etihad is paying to advertise an airline that loses money annually and has precisely 1 flight every day out of New York. Whatever that number is inflates the club's income.
