I think it is. When I broke mine I just RICEd it at first which was a massive mistake. My recovery time went from what would of been like 2 weeks to 3 months in a boot.

Depends on the toe whether immobilization is necessary (splints/boot) or just rest. When I broke my pinky toe it was just rest. A big toe probably requires splints and/or immobilization. Others depend on the severity of the break.

Herrera is the injury that most concerns me. First, there was no news out of the Venezuela camp that he was injured, he just came back from the break with it.

There has been no more info other than "day-to-day" which is close now to a month assuming he is out against HOU. This kind of smells like Lampards calf or Khirys hamstring - injuries that went on forever. If he's done for the season forget about a playoff run.

Just got my ticket decided to go in 111 with the supporters. Figured if there's going to be so few people there should be right where whatever atmosphere there will be, will be.
Same. Snagged a field seat since they were at a decent rate for founding members. When we have a stadium, we'll look back on this match and crack a smile. Hoping we win, because a three hour drive back to the city after a loss will be brutal.

When the Captain has to campaign for people to come watch
I love you Villa but...

little by little well get there...i still have hope that we get full squad or maybe missing one player from starting XI for a couple of games in October before playoffs

What's interesting with all the guys coming back is the bench could get mighty full. I don't think any of the 3-4 guys coming off injury are going to start given all the time they had off, so our Starting XI should be pretty close to the last game (but with Villa added). But, if all those guys make the bench, it could be hard to fit others who also deserve a spot.

Important to remember too that we are starting 3 games in 8 days, so we will need some rotation. Working in the injured guys should be good for that.

Bench: JLew, Hey Matarrita!, Enter Sandman, Hey Mikey!, Keyser Soze, Norris, Lurch

I don't disagree that that is a likely lineup, but I really hope that Ring is available to take Pirlo's place. He hasn't been out long, so if he is available, I would hope he starts and should be able to go 60-70 minutes.

Just very worried seeing Pirlo as the base of the midfield (with support from TMac) vs the Houston counter

Ring and Sands in the midfield with Maxi. If Sands hasn't reported to the U17 squad yet, then it's in order to play him - I'd like to think it's as a starter and not as a sub.

Or to put in laymans terms for midas:
GK: TOCKASJ
DEF: TOCKARJ, TOCKAFB, TOCKAMX, TOCKABS
MID: TOFKAAP, TOFKATM, TOCKAMM
FW: TOCKARW, TOCKADV, TOCKAJH

I would, of course, prefer to see Ring in midfield. I just have doubts he will be available - of if he is available, that he will be more than a late game sub.

Reports have said that Sands has delayed his trip to the U-17 camp, so he will be available for this game at least. Not sure he starts over the veterans.

Do we agree that Sands showed, in 15 minutes, that he is a better mdifield option than Lopez?
He showed more composure, hustle, and ball security than any of the backup midfielders

What I did see from Sands that Vieira loves is that he moves to ball from side to side so quickly changing the direction of the attack. That is the one thing that Vieira tells the defenders playing out of the back, "Quicker! Quicker!" while he moves hand left and right.
