What did Poku do in either of his starts this season to justify a continued starting role? Mendoza was awful against Columbus but I thought he bounced back a bit against Philly. I would like to see Poku in an attacking role as you both suggest but I think he would be much more effective coming off the bench when guys are tired and can't deal with his strength. For me Shelton and Mendoza both did well enough against Philly to justify another shot in the starting 11 on wed
I think when his strengths are played to, he will be more effective. Poku is not a midfielder. He doesn't have the stamina, or the defensive mindedness to play there. He has the strength to play as a holding forward. He excels at dribbling the ball through traffic. This also limits his defensive responsibilities.
