NYCFC in the Media Thread - 2019

Nobody on the rise wants to take a head coaching job with a built in 1-2 year guillotine.

I would imagine most rising stars in the coaching world don't see themselves as being NYCFC manager for longer than two years anyway (see Vieira, Patrick). Let's be real, there's not a single coach in the world who sees this as a genuine factor in deciding whether to take the job.

I would imagine that most NYCFC managers would want to leave on their own terms and not with a pink slip and thank you, you’re performing great but your services are no longer needed because we have somebody better.

With the FFP investigation, there is zero guarantee Pep will want to stick around if MCFC is embargoed regarding transfers and CL participation.

In 35 years I'll tell my grandkids about that time there was a rumor that Pep would coach NYCFC.
What would excite me most is the influence he'd have on the academy kids more than the 1st team because I think he wouldn't be as effective as he could due to the salary cap restrictions whereas academy players under Pep would receive a huge boost tactically and in terms of soccer iq.

When Pep is to leave Manchester, NYCFC are to offer him the managerial position based on a clause in his CFG contract...

Now, I don't think a manager taking a sabbatical at NYCFC is wise from a managerial perspective, but it's Pep, right?
Him leaving City after winning things is no crazier than him leaving Barca and Bayern.

Only coach in the world that could put bodies in the seats, no?

We can hardly get fans to come see players..they're gonna come see a coach? Maybe we need a DP coach then.
