2021 Roster Discussion

Either Gudi is planning his move back to Europe, or Ronny prefers to use him further up field. I think he has more experience playing as a left winger than he does at LB.

honestly seeing gudi anywhere on the field makes me cringe. the guy lacks any grit and passion. makes a decent play now and then, but have seen him give up on plays before they are over way too many times. lack of pace at a winger position is just as bad as at LWB, though not as detrimental. at wing, his lack of 1v1 ability would be more detrimental to our attacking threat.

I doubt that, but at this point who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't really expect it either, but something is going on that we're not being told about. It could be completely inconsequential, maybe something private and personal, and he shows up in the next couple of weeks with no harm done. But I don't think that it's red tape and regulatory obstacles keeping him away.

Have other team's new players shown up yet? I genuinely don't know so would be good to compare

Tomas Pochettino signed with Austin February 11 one day before Amundsen and has been with them more than a week.
Ronald Hernandez signed a loan deal to Atlanta on February 18 -- six days after Amundsen, and has been here since at least March 7.

Again, it could be something fully innocuous or personal that we have no right or need to know. But it's something.

arent international signings always late? like a legit month passes by after their signings? it can still be that NYCFC FO sucks at the paper work etc but i dont think its due to him not coming. At least not yet, if the season starts and hes not here then yes i think something else happened.

Everyone assumes Gloster would replace Gudi, and that makes sense. But I just want to throw out the tinfoil hat theory that if Amundsen has not managed to find his way to the USA in almost 5 weeks, then maybe he isn't coming.

Maybe he signed with the same pen as Lamps.

This is good. Let's just keep generating news stories about all the left backs: signing them but not actually bringing them to America, maybe signing them, possibly acquiring MLS rights, showing interest, except perhaps for Girona.

Meanwhile, Gudi sitting here all by his lonesome, and it's not like we need any players besides a left back.

Oh wait, we do.

No. Just pointed out other teams not having this problem. As for our history, Heber signed on March 21 and was in a game 16 days later. Something is off. He's most likely coming. Saying otherwise was a joke. But either he was given an accomodation, or the team screwed up the application, or he's on some Interpol list, or something.
