The orange is kinda nice. Would it hurt to use orange in an away jersey?is this a tease!?!? is he breaking visa rules? or do we already have a visa for him and his MLS quarantine has ended!?!?

quarantine is only 5 days so its already over. the only question is really his visa status, but hes clearly training with the team now i think
From his signing to today is 6 days. Maybe his youth national team status and history made it easier? Or maybe we earned some tricks getting Andrade through the process? Either way great news.yea that is the question. based on last week's injury report, visa doesn't seem to be an issue.
can't wait to see him and thiago debut this weekend. i'm excited and hoping for some flashes of brilliance to make things exciting.
HERE WE GO:

This club does love its secrecy. The Athletic article is a little vague on the timeline, but suggests the negotiations started late February or early March. I was under the impression that you cannot apply for the visa until signed, but maybe that's just a practical consideration rather than a legal obstacle. In other words, usually nobody bothers to start the visa process early because (1) it might be pointless if the signing never happens, and (2) it usually takes 7-10 days at most anyway. So maybe we started Magno a few weeks ago after seeing how long it is taking this year. Of course starting an application makes it less likely you can maintain secrecy. NYCFC can fly under the radar here, but can a just relegated from top flight Brazilian club keep news media and chatty visa processors quiet? Is it possible that we could have gotten the process started before he was officially introduced?
Is it official that he will be #43?

Somewhere, years ago, I got the impression we paid a flat fee annually, for our share of CFG scouting services. Can't really say that with confidence though.Wonder if NYCFC had to pay CFG for the scouting report on Talles
Someone on bigsoccer said we were close to signing Prince Amponsah as a HG.
We have 28 players. The max is 30. Spots 1-20 are the "Senior Roster" - which can include anyone. Spots 21-30 are the "Supplemental Roster" and have to be homegrown players with a few spots available for senior players earning the league minimum (this is a very general summary).do we have space in our roster? I also read on twitter people want Dante Polvara to be signed, apparently he did very well in college this year.

According to Spotrac, we are using 9/10 spots on our Supplemental Roster (notably, they do not include Gloster on that list, even though he has a homegrown tag). That would mean we are using 19/20 Senior Roster spots, including Magno, but excluding Mitrita.
That means we can sign one more Senior Player and one more homegrown without releasing anyone or putting anyone on the season long DL. So, that's Santi and maybe Amponsah, but nobody else. More interestingly, if we sign Santi, we are full on the Senior Roster and can't sign DP #3 without releasing someone, putting someone on the DL, or moving someone to the Supplemental Roster.
