i saw on instagram he was staying until the season ends, which is this weekend. After that loan ends.
so does that mean he rejoins us? I know they had the option to buy at loan end.
I misspoke, i checked the article it was supposed to end in january 2022 but with his ultimatum to the saudi team who knows what happens

Makes sense for Barraza to develop, but are we going to sign another GK to have three on the roster? Gloster to USL is concerning.
Always read the article before commenting. Yup, he will be recalled when NYCFC resumes in middle of June.
The article did seem to imply that this was a short-term loan. I wonder if either will get playing time right away for these clubs

Montevideo Torque had a game on Monday May 31 and Santi was not on the roster. The window closed June 1.
It's June 2. There was no announcement. Is it possible he signed but they kept it secret? I doubt it. I've never heard of such a thing. But now the window is closed, and won't reopen until July 7. There's been an awful lot of rumors and smoke and tweets and instagrams from Santi himself, and reporting and even a GD cake.* But Rodriguez still is not on the team and won't be at least for another 5 weeks. The only people who have not confidently told us he is coming imminently are the entire staff of NYCFC. It seems the lesson they learned from Lampard is not "Don't disappoint your fanbase by delaying and withholding a player for the benefit of other CFG teams." Instead they went with "They can't accuse you of lying if you keep your mouth shut and let the world do it for you."

Well Torque's next game is Saturday June 5. If he is not on the 18 (I've seen no indication he's hurt) then it might well be he's on vacation for 5 weeks before joining us. If he makes the 18, that does not prove he won't join us but it does pretty much wipe out all the indicators to date.
could also be a case of waiting for his visa to clear before they announce anything.
