not to mention Medina, Taty, and Isi have all started to find their form. Our attack is generally pretty dangerous right now. The only missing piece is a clear cut playmaker. Maxi has been poor. Hopefully, he'll find his form again soon.
Dont count on it. That is truly the missing piece but not a necessary one as the whole squad can play. team might even look better with Morales instead of Moralez.
don't get me wrong. this team has shown this season they can get it done without maxi in the lineup. I think if we can get an in form maxi or an even better replacement, it will take this squad to the next level.
Could that be why Santi hasn't been announced yet? NYCFC need to figure out another loan deal for Mitrita so we don't have 4 DPs on the roster?
I would like him back, but I don’t think Ronnie favored him much. Also to see how much attacking power we have it’d be hard to get playing time for him, Medina, Taty, Heber, Talles, and Thiago. What a good problem to have.

Yes. You are limited to one U22 slot unless you either have (a) at least 1 open DP slot or (b) 1 Young DP among your 3 DPs. Magno is a young DP so we're all set. Another way of saying it is that you have 3 U22 slots unless you have 3 DPs and none of them are young DPs.
I should make a macro for this.
If you have 3 regular (non-Young) DPs, you get 1 U22 slot. Otherwise you have 3 U22 slots.
They allow you to spend more money to bring these players in than you otherwise would be able to with regular salary cap slots.
You can pay them up to the maximum budget charge but only $150-200k counts against the cap. Acquisition costs are also off books, and if you sell them the transfer fees received convert to GAM at a favorable scale.
In short, it's a way to pay OOP in addition to the cap budget and without needing MLS-Bucks plus you get even more MLS-bucks if you sell them later on.
