I also sense that Villa likes playing with Berget.Berget was fantastic last night with hold up play. There were several times where Dallas pressed the back line and we were forced to play a long ball, and Berget did a great job of collecting it.

The big screen also did something a little different that usually doesn’t happen- they showed the replay, then showed the contact with the hand in slow-mo. Usually on “controversial” calls they just show a normal replay without putting emphasis on the action being reviewed.Maybe so. But one of our assistant coaches was screaming at whomever was standing by the scorers table smacking his arm and pointing at the jumbo. It wasn’t till he turned around and looked that he called something into his earpiece. Maybe to the VAR room?

I was surprised too.
It just means the writers just vote on offense. He had a nice pass to spring Villa loose on the first goal.
He's basically upgrading Wallace to v2.0. Strong, lack speed but have defensive tenacity. Not a great touch, but Berget is better due to offering more on offense in regard to shots actually on net, goals, and his ability to win headers vs. CBs. Feel for Wallace, but Berget has shown more and has actually scored within the past 12 months. Fear the Beard.I also sense that Villa likes playing with Berget.

The one play of his that impressed me was against Atlanta when he cut in and ripped that shot with his right. Now, it ended up going straight to Guzan and he pushed it over, but he showed the ability to cut in and blast one on frame. He's basically upgrading Wallace to v2.0. BTW, good to see you on the big video board Sunday.David and Goliath.
Medina was probably quite appreciative of the gift Berget gave him off the postBerget doesn't have the dribbling touch to blow by people but he's has some nice flicks on give and gos on link up plays. Berget has a lot of nuance to his game that I'm sure Villa appreciates. The one down side is that Medina also seems to thrive on combination play but because Villa prefers to drift left he's paired with Berget considerably more often and Medina gets isolated for stretches.
BRW, good to see you on the big video board Sunday.
I saw you entering too. Funny we couldn’t get each other’s attention at the same time. I sit outside. First row down the aisle where TabascoDiva usually sits. Usually we eat inside pregame.I saw you entering the stadium but didn't see you after that. Were you sitting outside?
Yeah, it's kinda interesting that we are playing with zero classic wingers (dribble and cross) and zero inverted wingers (dribble and shoot). We seem to rely on our full backs to get high and wide and then push our attackers inside to combine and create chances. And in the last game, we went long much more effectively, so we weren't necessarily asking our wingers to go 1v1 and break down their full backs. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.Berget doesn't have the dribbling touch to blow by people but he's has some nice flicks on give and gos on link up plays. Not an issue. I was ahead of you at security and felt bad myself I didn't wait. Catch you next time.Yeah, sorry about that. I had a guest with me so I was pretty focused on talking with him. He left at half time and then I was inside with my friends.
That’s an indication of how bad our assigned referees are.
Side note, ATL has been awarded 7PKs this season in only 8 matches. WTF!?!?
