Official Nycfc In The Media Thread 2015

Well damn. What to put on my Christmas list now?

Could I wear our away shirt and pair it with some LFC shorts? Would that make me a half-kit wanker?

And I wasn't seriously going to do it. It's just that I couldn't get one more dig of my own dig in at the home shirt if I didn't go with that tone.

You do what you want homie it's a free country, you do you:D

Good, we need a USL pro side. Its a good place to send our draft picks and maybe a couple can turn into decent MLS players. Hell Dom Dwyer was a 20+ goal scorer in MLS this past season for Sporting KC and he was a USL pro player at one point.
Yeah but who will NYCFC trust for 2015? Its gotta be something where Dunn and maybe McNamara and a MC Loanee get loaned to a good USL team. Charleston is good, maybe the new Pittsburgh coach is trustworthy. Would NYC go west to LA or Texas?

I could see Charleston. We already have some connection to them through the Charleston Cup.

I would prefer Charlston but I don't know about USL pro myself to give a good answer

Doesn't Chas still have a partnership with Vancouver?

Edit: yes. For one more year

Doubt it's an accidental omission, but Dunn is no longer listed on the roster. Velasquez makes sense not being there since it has only been a few hours. However, Dunn has been removed: http://www.nycfc.com/players

Was Dunn ever there? I don't remember him.

I was of the opinion that they never added him because, unlike the way they recruited most of their players, in a Dispersal Draft the players seem to have more ability to argue their contract. If they want the salary to be increased then they can demand it and the club has to either accept it or give up trying to sign the player. All the players signed on trade would have agreed a contract before they announced the trade, and the ones on the Expansion Draft IIRC have to accept an offer at the level they were previously at, giving them no room for manoeuvre.

While contracts can be agreed quickly, when the player is holding all the cards it can go on a long time. Dunn will know that he's got another month to get the contract agreed, and his agent will be delaying it as much as possible in order to make the club sweat it out and consider raising their offer.

That's usually how it goes in contract negotiations, anyway.

I thought I saw him there, but could be me just thinking of the press release. I guess we will know soon.

If I were his agent I would want to play hardball but remember who I'm negotiating for, against, and not lose sight of a huge opportunity.
