I have no idea how the field is configured today, but back in the day when the Bears played there the steps of the 1st base dugout were actually in the end zone. If I can find a picture I'll post it.

They played at Wrigley a few years ago and basically couldn't use one end zone because it was too close to the wall. The team with possession could only play one way, they'd flip the teams around at every turnover/possession change.

At halftime one of the panel announcers noted that the walls were just a few feet behind the back of the end zones. He thought it affected how teams attacked in the red zone because they were afraid of running a receiver into a brick wall.
