looking like we gotta win out to take first. Toronto & NJ have been solid at homeStrength of schedule update. It's really down to 3 teams at this point. Will be nearly impossible for anyone else to crawl into the Top 3.

This time of year is so much more fun than last year. Here are the remaining schedules for each team in contention. Chicago is out.
Toronto: vs. DCU, at Montreal, vs. Chicago
NJ Red Fools: vs. Philly, vs. Columbus, at Philly
NYCFC: at Houston, at DCU, vs. Columbus
Philadelphia: at NJRB, vs. Orlando, vs. NJRB
Montreal: at Orlando, vs. Toronto, at New England
DC United: at Toronto, vs. NYC, at Orlando
-------------------
New England: vs. Sporting KC, at Chicago, vs. Montreal
Orlando: vs. Montréal, at Philly, vs. DC
Columbus: vs. Chicago, at Chicago, at NJRB, at NYC
Not just a bucket of goals, but a serious drive in the positive direction of our Goal Differential. Three wins gives us a minimum of +3 (+5overall) but 2-gapping each team takes us to +8, and I'd like to think we can hang a bunch on Houston. It still may not be enough since Toronto &/or NJ would need to lose at least 4-5 on the GD which over three games could be hard, but maybe they show up one night each and play like their inner-Chicago selves?!? And I'd be totally fine with food-poisoning to hit their training table meal(s) at least once - nothing like trying to play a game when dreaming of the toilet.Shit, the playoffs already started IMO. Our last 3 league games should be treated like they are playoff games. Getting that bye is basically the equivalent of winning a knockout round. I'd love to see a real disciplined but breakneck performance by all 4 of our attacking positions - we all know our defense is going to fuck up at some point, so we can't afford not to score buckets of goals.

Given Houston's recent form, and our recent form on the road - we will be fortunate to get out with a win.
Here is the current table.
It's really down to two groups of 3 jockeying for position within those 3. After last night, it is going to be very hard for anyone below the line to catch up.

Does it really matter if the semis or the final? Both are home/away and while it'd be great to have a proxy do our dirty work, there's no guarantee that proxy will succeed and we'd have to play them anyway (or then play the proxy that was tough enough to take RB down). Provided Hernandez isn't exploited, the lineup we fielded last week would have been more than a handful for RB to deal with - their defense does not do well when faced with multiple speed players.Son of a bitch. We're going to be locked up with NJRB in the conference semis.
One or both of us need to knock TFC out of the top spot.
