Not a bad move if that's what happens. I don't think it's an upward move, though.
It would mean Europa League. And depending on if he gets into the first team, could mean a place in CL qualification for next season.NFW. A step down in league. He'd be a fool to do this.
And he should be able to get playing time almost immediately.SPL is better today than it was 5-10 years ago. He’ll make more money. It’s a physical league (has been a knock on him). It’s out of his comfort zone. Yes, a lateral move day right day BUT there is European football, he’ll be more on the radar in England and the experience is uncomfortable
Clubs are only really looking at Rangers or Celtic players , the up and coming good players in the other SPL teams tend to get snapped up by 1 of these 2 before moving to another leagueAnyone figure out SPL transfers to premier league, Bundesliga etc. in the past year? Curious how many more players have made jump to top leagues from SPL compared to MLS in 2021.
Pretty much what I speculated the other day , I see it as a positive if it’s short term
For what it's worth, the Rangers have a healthy lead at the moment so they're looking at UEFA European competition. So that's something to consider. And he should be able to get playing time almost immediately.
As you said, definitely a lateral move right now, but a much better launch pad.
A nice little tidbit here courtesy Justin Egan of the Outfield:For what it's worth, the Rangers have a healthy lead at the moment so they're looking at UEFA European competition. So that's something to consider.

We typically bend over backwards for our players. But why would we loan him?
i assume the teams that are interested cant bring out the cash right now so they take him in on loan and then get a more affordable fee after a a year.
But how does that help us?

I remember the Revs blocked multiple players from moves to Europe back in the Nicol era. It took many years before they were able to sign anyone willingly. They were basically known to be on every agents sh!tlist and they were a bad team for many years with no worthwhile players.it doesnt, it just shows how the FO is more player friendly and other players are ok to coming here since they know they wont be blocked going to europe should there be true interest.
