Away - 07/30 Toronto

From memory, our troubles with Toronto stem from the fact that they overload midfield and we like to play from the back. On restarts this means that we can't get it through midfield, make a lot of errors and concede a lot of easy goals.
Well, not so sure about this any more. Johnson sent perhaps a record number of long balls up the field in the match last week. They might be mixing it up now.

So, how badly does this game go? Toronto hasn't lost at home all season, and they are likely close to full strength. We are now the walking wounded, plus Herrera is suspended. Gonna be tough to get a result here.

Also, Maxi and Ring are both one yellow away from suspension, so hopefully they don't both get one on Sunday, otherwise the Derby will also be a struggle
They are getting back their Gold Cup guys, but lets see how much Bradley and Altidore play. Late match last night on the West Coast and now they need to travel back. Helps them that its a Sunday match, but legs should be tired.

But remember, they also have their fair share of injuries hitting them now as well. I think ours are hitting us a bit harder, but these won't be full-strength squads on either side.

The derby will be a struggle, either Ring or Maxi will definitely get a yellow card in this match. Its basically the only way to contain TFC when they have a healthy team and we're lacking Herrera.

I personally would not be surprised if both Altidore and Bradley played. Might be different if they were coming back for a Saturday game, but a Sunday game at home and the shit show that is DC United up next week. If I were a betting man with the Cheyrou injury and I would say Bradley definitely starts and Jozy is on the bench and subs in when they go down.

Jozy also isn't a bad sub late if they are up. Gives them a target man with good hold up play up top to release some of the pressure.

That's fair. Without re-hashing the post-match analysis for that match, we looked much better in the run of play. We did end up losing midfield in the second half, but that was more a matter of personnel than tactics, at least at first. Speaking of personnel, TFC should be much stronger than last time out. I suppose the real learning from last time was to avoid playing Tommy and Mikey.

-----Lewis----Vila----Harrison-----
-----------Maxi---Pirlo--------------
---------------Ring-------------------
-Sweat--Callens-Brillant-White---
------------Johnson------------------

With this lineup we have 0 CB depth on the bench and the only thing you can do is move White to CB. So it's possible to have Allen starting so that White can sub in should anything happen to Callens or Brillant.

I like Pirlo is this game to spread the large field and make long passes to Lewis and Harrison who will have the legs to cover their ground. Putting Mac in the middle doesn't really do it for me.

What's the problem with sliding White over from RB instead of keeping him in the bench with the likely potential of not even playing? That's like a coach saving his 3rd sub in case the GK gets hurt while trailing in a game. Play the best players you have and address each problem as it arises.

There was also a quote from Viera after the Sweat signing that he could play left CB.

Loosing Sweat hurts especially since his social media posts made it seem like he was ready to go. It's also interesting that the Khiry 4-6 weeks time table never changes. Likely just an artifact of them never updating it but still discouraging the never see it change, despite the general negativity on the forums about him we could really use him right now.
