I don't think it would be ESPN it would go to, YES is a partner with FOX, so perhaps it could go to FS2, but with FOX only having the two sports channel offerings of FS1 and FS2, along with the regional channels (which in this case is YES), they may already be locked in for programming. That said, they could possibly plan for it at the beginning of the year to have some of those games flow onto FS2. Though I'm not sure how many households FS2 reaches. I get it with YoutubeTV, but I think that's one of those that isn't carried on most cable packages unless you buy the sports package on top of it.

This idea that a national broadcaster like ESPN is going to rewrite its schedule to essentially do YES a solid on behalf of a few thousand MLS fans in one market...I just don't know, man.

I think we’ve taken a clear step back but if we don’t make the playoffs with the turnover in this conference, it would be an epic failure across multiple parties.

Yes. I don’t like the idea of settling for “fluid” because we are missing a key component. I do like the idea of having formation options and back up plans because we have all of the components. Fortunately it sounds like Dome agrees.

Someone who knows this shit better than me can probably answer this. I get the impression Sigi was “fluid” with Ola because he needed to fit him in the formation. I think he played wide?

He really liked how we played under Vieira.
ETA: But it's OK if people don't like him. I just don't see the point of having someone on the board say so every time he's referenced. For better or worse he works for the league and is extremely prolific and so talks and writes about the team more than almost anyone. So he ends up referenced here a lot, and I can set my watch by the time it takes someone to chime in with "Doyle sucks" or something similar. It's rote, meaningless and tiresome.
If you disagree with what he says say so. Ad hominem adds nothing.

Fluidity is the interchanging of player position. It is not the same as playing some one out of position. Ola wasn't interchanging with anyone. He was a left wing that looked to cut inside.

Those are all areas where a player can improve with experience. The good news is that Lewis has the intangibles, the qualities that players either have or they don’t.

“What you can’t teach, he does well,” said the source. “He’s creative and impactful, a special player that way. What you can teach, what comes about from hard work, is where he needs to improve. From a player-development point of view, that can be exciting if he is dedicated and puts in the hard work needed to improve and get better.”

We keep hearing the same thing. Dude needs to get serious, work hard, study hard. I am really rooting for him as we desperately need his "intangibles" and nose for goal. I cannot and will not forget that brief stretch last summer after Dome first arrived and he was shooting, scoring and winning games.
