2022 Roster Discussion

So Tony Rocha is in austin as a trialist and apparently one of our academy kids too Petkovic, he didnt enter the draft so we trading him away for GAM like sands brother? So who will take part in this nycfc 2?

Between Claudio, Rodrigo Ayala (Equipment Manager), Ring, Stuver, academy players, when NYCFC plays Austin, I feel like our chant should be "Who's your daddy?"

Surprised Besiktas is in for him. They are going to end up with Cenk Tosun on January 31st like they always do with Everton footing most of the bill.

Tinnerholm was hurt Oct. 3. He won't be back until at least the summer, I believe.
Camp is in Orlando and Cancun. Nice work if you can get it. ;)

I figured Parks to be back in time, but I wasn't sure about Tinnerholm. Anyone know his status?
He's training with the team as can be seen in the training video from today, but I am pretty sure he isn't even close to first team action.

It's a little surprising he's even out there, which is why I asked. A ruptured Achilles is nasty business. Nasty injury. It's a very good sign he can get a little run in already.

He should be back in April if his rehab goes according to plan

That's pretty incredible, in his shoes I would make sure to take my time getting back. That stuff is no joke and rushing it could end up hurting more. The average achilles repair time is 10 months, and April would be 7. Props to him though for even being able to somewhat move at this stage
Edit: Kobe Bryant came back in 8months post surgery, and even though he was older, he definitely strikes me as someone who would push the limit.

And we also saw the Rams' Cam Akers play this weekend 5.5 months after rupturing his achilles. It's an incredible story which was covered in the Athletic:
